Expression isn't static.
I use emotion and flow as the colours for my canvas.
Ever-evolving, ever-recreating...
I have been exploring these spaces within myself- the shadows, the lessons, the light.
I wanted to share these poems- fragments of my journey, pieces of myself.
Let this gift from the heart
Be the flame that ignites every spark.
The Long Way
Thank you Spirit for taking me the long way
For closing doors I was intent to force open
For reminding me that I am stronger when I choose to walk away.
This is the moment I come alive
Not merely to survive
But to LIVE, to GROW and to THRIVE.
Ever seeking to serve You with grace
Knowing You are both the kiss of the sun and the wind's warm embrace.
Through your love my strength abounds.
I look in the mirror
And You are found.
I open my arms to all You have bestowed,
With faith as my compass upon every road.
The Echo of You
Lay down your arms, my love,
Let me hold you dear.
Let me feel your heartbeat,
And whisper in your ear.
When we are together
I know no fear
No barriers between us
It's enough that you are near.
I love you more than words can say
The feeling gets deeper
With each passing day.
How is it that I still feel you
Even though we are miles apart?
It's as if my love for you
Has rooted eternally in my heart.
I will not fight it,
I will not push against.
All I want is to hold you,
And to finally be at rest.
You breathed life back into my body
And into my heart
How can I ever accept
A life with us apart?
Except we aren't...
For you're still here
Living in my soul
The one we'll always share.
There You Are
Loneliness, my old friend
There you are
There you are, back again.
I thought we said goodbye
I told you I had no tears left to cry
But like a shadow you've returned
To remind me of the lessons I am yet to learn.
About love, laughter, presence and growth
The kind of things we're forever sold.
And yet these things can't be bought
These are lessons in love that are self-taught.
Will you hurt less if I welcomed you in,
Would you make home here and claim your win?
Would you take all that I have left to give,
Or teach me again how to truly live?
Always Light
Now is time to shake that tree
Let what falls, fall
Allow the soul to be free.
Free of the burdens and all of the pain
The heaviness you have carried
The tears that have stained.
Raise your fallen head and you shall see
The gift that others receive from thee.
The strength of spirit, the love within
The light that guides your path
It's quite clear they all want in.
What is your secret?
How did you arrive?
They call on you to scream from the rooftops
For the words you carry were never meant to hide.
Your voice reveals the way
It must rise to meet the masses
To speak a Truth that is here to stay.
In honour of the Earth
And the Force within,
The eternal beauty that lives beneath the skin.
For we all have a spark patiently waiting to ignite
A flame that remembers
It was always light.
The pain we hold in our bodies can sometimes be the love we withhold from ourselves and the world.
May we be brave enough to tap into the deep wisdom within, to live true to it, and to share it abundantly with those around us.
May we uncover the depth and beauty of who we already are, and who we are eternally becoming. 🙏❤️🌸
As expression continues to evolve, so does the conversation. If any of these words resonate, I would love to hear what they bring up for you — a feeling, a memory, or a reflection.
With love,
Kirsh ❤️
